FACTORY GUIDE

Scarves: a buyer's manufacturing guide

Custom scarves, snoods and neckwarmers

Gazelle develops custom scarves and neckwear for fashion, winter, sport and promotion: knitted and woven scarves, snoods and neck gaiters, infinity scarves and branded wraps. Each order specifies fibre, weight, knit or weave, dimensions, fringe or hem and branding, with a sample confirming drape, warmth and hand-feel.

Construction and materials

Knitted scarves use acrylic, wool, wool blends, cotton and recycled yarns in rib, jersey or jacquard structures; woven scarves use cotton, viscose, polyester and blends with printed or jacquard patterns. Snoods and gaiters use stretch tubular knits, often in wicking performance or fleece-lined versions. Weight is matched to fashion, corporate or cold-weather use.

Decoration and branding

Options include jacquard-knit logos and patterns, woven labels, embroidery, fringe and tassel detailing, all-over and placement print, sublimation on polyester and custom gift packaging. Football and supporter scarves commonly use repeating jacquard crests and fringe.

Sport and multifunctional gaiters

Tubular neck gaiters can be worn as a neck warmer, headband, face covering or beanie liner, in lightweight wicking or thermal fleece-lined knits. Protective or filtration language is avoided unless supported; these are positioned as sport and warmth accessories.

MOQ, sampling and lead time

Knitted/jacquard supporter scarves require knitting setup and a higher MOQ, while printed woven or gaiter styles can start lower, commonly around 100–300 pieces per design. Samples confirm drape, weight and logo before bulk, timed ahead of season or event.

Who custom scarves are for

Fashion and lifestyle brands, football clubs and supporter merchandise, winter and outdoor programmes, corporate gifting, running and cycling events and promotional distributors.

Custom development options

Printed, knitted and woven construction options depend on the design. Exact composition, colour fastness and care labelling must be confirmed for bulk.
